GREENWOOD RURAL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT MEETINGS:  

  

     Typically we meet three times a month. The first Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. is our business meeting, held at our station and is attended by all hands.  It’s where we make the business decisions about how the department is run.

     We train twice a month, the first Monday and the third Thursday at 7:00 p.m.  The first Monday training is at our station and is attended by Greenwood personnel. The third Thursday training is multi-departmental.  Greenwood VFD, along with five other departments train together because we often work with the other departments through our mutual-aid agreements.  The other departments are:  Adell-Whitt VFD, Brock-Dennis VFD, Cool-Garner VFD, Millsap VFD and Mountain River VFD.

     Additionally, our Officers meet monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Greenwood station.
